USA Visas For Individual - B-1 and B-2 Visitors Visas

B1 and B2 American Visitors Visa Information

Anyone who wishes to visit the US on holiday or business (or is in transit) and doesn’t qualify for visa free travel (see Visa Waiver Program below) or wishes to remain as a visitor for longer than 90 days, must apply for a category B nonimmigrant visa; B-1 visas are granted to visitors on business and B-2 visas to tourists or those visiting the US for medical treatment. If you wish to combine a business trip with tourism, you should apply for a B-1 visa.

Under US immigration law, it’s assumed that every visitor visa applicant is an intending immigrant. Therefore, applicants for visitor visas must demonstrate:

  • that the purpose of their trip is to enter the US for business, pleasure, or medical treatment;
  • they plan to remain for a specific, limited period;
  • they have sufficient funds to cover expenses inthe US;
  • evidence of compelling social and economicties abroad; and
  • that they have a residence outside the US as well as other binding ties that will insure they return abroad at the end of their visit.

Students, temporary workers, journalists and those planning to travel to the US for a purpose other than those permitted with a visitor visa, must apply for a different nonimmigrant visa. Please contact us for more details!
